From Number Cruncher to Business Founder

My journey started with a love affair with numbers and having taken calculus four times (for fun!) I ventured off to Trent University to become a math teacher.  Unfortunately I was not accepted into the concurrent education program my first year and so I took some elective courses in the meantime, including Financial Accounting.  I realised that I loved numbers, not necessarily math itself (I mean who actually likes calculus THAT much!?).  So I continued on and graduated with my Bachelor of Business degree and began working at a Chartered Accountants office.

The experience I gained in my Junior Bookkeeper position was astronomical!  I enjoyed everything from payroll processing, tax preparation, and even audits.  What I enjoyed the most was the full-cycle bookkeeping and I realised that I had a knack for making cents (and dollars) out of chaos.  In 2018, after 6 years at the CPA firm, I launched K.P. Solutions to bring more balance into my life, one ledger at a time.

Beyond the Office (Yes, I Have a Life!)

When I’m not nerding out over an amazing spreadsheet, or playing detective with a reconciliation discrepancy, you might catch me scrapbooking, reading, or dancing with the Rideau Canal Cloggers, because even bookkeepers need a break to keep their skills sharp.

Howdy, fellow adventurers! I’m Sue, your fearless guide through the financial wilderness here at K.P. Solutions. When I’m not traversing the great outdoors, I’m crunching numbers to keep your financial path clear and smooth.

A Bit About My Journey

With nearly 25 years in the wilds of bookkeeping, I bring a blend of administrative bookkeeping skills and a knack for navigating uncharted territory. My journey started at a  large farming operation in Bradford, ON and I’ve been weaving through spreadsheets and reconciliations ever since.

When I’m not balancing ledgers, you’ll likely find me fishing, boating, horseback riding and biking.

Hey there! I’m Dina, and I’m thrilled to bring six years of bookkeeping and financial management experience to the awesome team at K.P. Solutions. I’ve always had a knack for numbers and love diving deep into the details to make sure everything adds up perfectly for our clients.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce, with a minor in Human Resources from Ted Rogers School of Management, Toronto Metropolitan University.  My education laid a solid groundwork in all things accounting and business related. Over the years, I’ve sharpened my skills in bookkeeping, payroll and administration in the non-profit sectors.

Hello! I’m Christina and I’m thrilled to bring over 9 years of administrative
experience to the amazing team at K.P. Solutions! I have worked for the
federal government, non-profit and a university! As a highly organized and
detailed person, I have always had a natural ability for admin work and love
being able to help support Katie & the bookkeeping team to keep things
flowing smoothly and ensure you receive the best customer experience
possible!

A Bit About Me

I grew up in Alberta and moved to Ottawa 8 years ago. I
have 2 boys, 3 cats and a dog (it’s a zoo over here lol)! When I am not
walking my dog or at the hockey rink or soccer field with my boys, you can
find me reading or planning our next trip!

Vicky

Payroll Specialist

Vicky has nearly 15 years of experience in payroll and HR field. In the last 5 years, Vicky pivoted from inhouse payroll, to sitting on the payroll provider side, working with small to medium size clients, ensuring payrolls are compliant, accurate, and run on time. Vicky eats and breathes payroll, she loves it! 

A Bit About Me

In June 2020, some friends and Vicky co-founded a Facebook meetup group: Buddy Supping, to meet like minded people to paddle board around Lake Ontario. The group grew quickly to now over 5.5K members. Come join us! All are welcome. 

Teighan

Bookkeeper and Financial Superstar

Teighan gained her bookkeeping experience working as an accounts controller for a small plumbing company in Southern Alberta for four years. Teighan has a passion for trades and construction and a deep understanding of construction operations. She has a six year old son that plays hockey which keeps them very busy on the weekends and a 15 year old step son that enjoys being social. She is coffee fanatic and a foodie that loves to travel, always trying out the newest cafe and restaurants in town.

With over 9.5 years of hands-on experience, Bhanu is a quality-driven accounting and payroll professional specializing in financial operations, payroll administration, accounts payable/receivable, and client advisory services. 

Known for precision, reliability, and a continuous improvement mindset, Bhanu plays a key role in ensuring efficient and compliant payroll operations. She has a masters in Commerce and Business Administration, Quickbooks ProAdvisor and a certified Canadian Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification.

Fun Fact:
When not managing numbers, Bhanu enjoys sitting at the beach and stargazing at night. breathes payroll, she loves it!
